Transitional Style Inspo

Transitional Style Inspo

It's sweater weather! But that also means I'm looking for ways to extend my summer wardrobe beyond summer. I layered a tunic dress over a cropped wide leg linen pant. Two items I would normally be a little cold in this time of year, but not when layered. Not only is this comfortable, but I immediately felt sophisticated. It's not too cold for socks so I'm still rocking my Saba flats but covering my toes. The nutmeg brown Dot Tote is such a great warm tone for fall. It looks great with navy's, greens, and burgundy. All colors I'm really into this fall. Do you like hoop earrings? I've always felt they did not look right on me but I love these handmade brass ones by Essie Day. The painting is by my hubby who has a show up right now at G. Gibson Gallery. Happy fall and I hope your are having fun with your closet in the changing season.

SEATTLE MOMSTYLE

A favorite local blogger, Dana Landon (her blog is named It's My Darlin') who is known for her street style snaps. She came over to my house to meet my son Forest, and shoot some IRL mom style. My friend and fellow Seattle designer, Tiffany Ju of BZR , came over with her son as well. Tiffany always has IRL great mom style. Usually a super rad jumper and bright sneakers. You can also see my messy kitchen. #momlife

Curious about our clothing pieces?
Jess: Wearing an UZI top given to my by a friend. I love this designer.

Tiffany: Wearing a sweet jumper by Rebe.
The knitted baby blanket pictured in the living room is by Hillery Sproatt. The outdoor blanket was something I made with scrap canvas and denim.
Feel free to comment and I'll tell you about any art pieces you are curious about.

STORE FEATURE: Velouria Boutique + Gallery in Seattle

One of the best things about owning a creative business is the relationships I get to build with my store partners. I'm kicking off a newsletter series to share what I love about these stores so you can get to know them too! First up is Velouria Boutique and Gallery located in Seattle's historic Pioneer Square neighborhood.
Say hello to Cat + Chika! They used to be customers of Velouria before they were the owners. They acquired the store in its previous location in Ballard and soon moved it to Pioneer Square. They carry US and Canadian designs with an affinity for Pacific Northwest designers.
Here are a few things that make me giddy about these gals.
+
They do not take themselves too seriously...scroll through their Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/hellovelouria/?hl=en) feed and you quickly realize these gals like to mix their business with FUN!
+
+
And they have great style...They really understand the PNW gal. They post wonderful outfit inspiration on their Instagram and online store.
+
+
Their store is always a welcoming environment for customers and vendors, additionally hosting art exhibits, and workshops.
+

+
They are serious about community engagement. They are informed advocates of small business and social justice issues and are not afraid to let their voices be heard.
+
You can find a selection of the Pine & Boon designs at . . .
145 S King St.
Seattle, WA 98104 For a full list of my store partners, please visit my about page.
